Kenilworth Station is reopened

March 2018

Ainsworth Civils have completed work with GRAHAM Construction on the renewed Kenilworth Railway Station. Our work included installing the pile caps, laying the foundations and concrete beams for two new platforms.

We also installed concrete lift shaft bases for a new fully enclosed Equality Act-compliant bridge, constructed alongside the original footbridge to allow disabled access. The previous Kenilworth Station closed in 1965 and since then the population of the town has doubled to 24,000.

Warwickshire Council commissioned the reopening of the station in order to ease traffic congestion, support an increasing population and improve the local economy.
