Concrete Repairs
Ainsworth Civils’ trained teams of surveyors conduct surveys on defective structures to ascertain the type and extent of damage sustained. An accurate survey will establish the true cost of repair at the outset of the contract, reducing the possibility of cost implications mid contract. Typical concrete tests would include hammer testing, visual surveys, carbonation tests, chloride tests and cover meter tests.
Depending on test results the revetment works required would fall into the following broad methods of repair:
- Hand applied mortars
- Re-casting with concrete
- Sprayed concrete and mortar
- Flowable grouts and concrete
- Electro-chemical processes
- Corrosion inhibitors
- Filling and injection of cracks
- Sacrificial anodes
