Balfour Beatty Project Quality Award

June 2020
We are proud to have been awarded Balfour Beatty’s Project Quality Award in respect of the quality of works in delivering the eastern H14 abutment on the East Wick & Sweetwater SIW (Specified Infrastructure Works) project.

In addition to recognising the quality workmanship, this award also recognises the collaborative way in which we approached the design challenges – with special mention of all the efforts our team have made during this unprecedented global pandemic to maintain progress, work safely and deliver such a great structure.

Congratulations to our Abbey Wood Crossrail Project site manager Ben Freese, for winning the Balfour Beatty ‘Close Call of The Week’ Award.
The Reactec system had gone down and there were no hav tags on site.

Ben reported this to the project team and used a paper based system to ensure the exposure times were recorded and monitored.

KD26 Award Achieved On Crossrail Project

May 2015
As part of Network Rail’s Crossrail programme, Ainsworth Civils is providing civil engineering works on the new station being built with two miles of new track in the Abbey Wood area.

Ainsworth Civils helped deliver the first major milestone KD26 as the first section of dedicated Crossrail rail track to be installed anywhere along the route in May 2015.

Delivering this major milestone effectively turned around a very difficult situation of projected schedule delays, safeguarding the CRL tunnel fit out schedule.

The achievement reflected extremely well on the whole project organisation and was a brilliant success for the National Rail CRL programme.

International Safety Award (British Safety Council)

Transport Award (ICE Engineering Excellence Award)
